There are many ways of spending time here
in the
Kashubian Lakelands. You can visit the many attractions
in the area or you can spend hours sunbathing on the natural beaches or go
fishing at one of the quieter spots. The road surface in the area is excellent
and many new cycle paths have been made where it is a real pleasure to cycle.
Water sports are also very popular. The lakes are excellent for sailing
and very close
by you can hire sailing boats, pedaloes and equipment for canoeing, kayaking, or windsurfing. In fact
canoeing through the rivers is one way of reaching and exploring Kashuby. The 'Radunia
Circle' is a great favorite with the canoeists. It's a 60 km loop which has ten lakes connected by the Radunia River like
pearls in a string.
You can also drive down the highways and byways to enjoy the picturesque
scenery.
The Kashubian Ethnographic Park in Wdzydze Kiszewskie is well
worth a visit. It's an
heritage park that gives you an exposure to the famous folk culture and
traditions of Kashubia. On a visit to the Park you will see 18th and 19th
century Kashubian cottages, farms, manor houses, a windmill and a church, all
with the original wooden construction. The St. Barbara wooden church is of
special importance. Various fairs and folk art shows are also held in the area for
tourists.
Nearby, in Szymbark, you can go horse riding and cart riding. In
Wiezyca, only about 2 km away, during the winter months you can go
skiing and sleigh riding.

While in Kaszuby, you must not miss the Strawberry Festival
held in June. This is held on a hill very close to Brodnica Dolna. At the festival
market you can buy and taste rare and delicious varieties of strawberries
brought in by the local farmers.
All activities and excursions such as
cart and sleigh rides, camp fires, barbecues, day trips
etc can be booked through our reception.
