'Lakeside' is situated on the shores of Lake Ostrzyckie, in the Kaszubski Landscape Park, Kashubia, in the northern part of Poland, renowned for it's spectacular, diverse, and picturesque countryside. The area is better known as the Pomeranian Lake District and often described as the 'Kashubian Switzerland' because of the landscape of rolling hills, hillocks, numerous lakes, ponds and forests. There are very few places in Europe where it is possible to find such beautiful nature in such a small area. The inhabitants of the Kashubia region still speak their own language, Kashubi. Traditionally, the area is renowned for producing pottery, porcelain and it's folk culture. You can visit one of a number of festivals and fairs that are held throughout the year, featuring regional dances, music and colourful costumes.

We can boast spectacular panoramic views of Lake Ostrzyckie and are close to many local facilities such as bars, restaurants, and for activities such as sailing, canoeing, horse and cart riding, hunting, fishing, skiing and sleigh riding (in the winter months), mini-golf, tennis, boat trips, quad biking, and even a flight in a hot air balloon!

'Lakeside' is located about 15 miles from Gdansk airport, approximately 30 minutes drive by car. The cost by taxi from the airport is around 100 Zloty ( about GBP 20.00 ). There are also bus and train stations in Kartuzy, which is about 5 miles from Lakeside, with links to Gdansk and Gdynia.
